One Person. One Vote.
PNM managed all communications on behalf of the No On Issue 1 campaign – One Person. One Vote. – in the special August election of 2023. Extreme lawmakers wanted to eliminate the principle of one person, one vote and drastically change the laws surrounding citizen-led ballot initiatives in Ohio.

Here is a detailed timeline and account of the work we did on the campaign to protect majority rule in Ohio.

PNM President Dennis Willard served as communications director and in-state campaign manager. Beginning in Lame Duck 2022 PNM worked to build a coalition of 160 organizations that eventually grew to 260 organizations. The coalition was so diverse that it included organizations from FOP to Black Lives Matter. For 10 months we defined the narrative and got our message out first to protect the simple majority vote to amend the Ohio constitution.
We put extreme lawmakers on their heels from the start and they never recovered, and voters in a special (rigged) election overwhelmingly voted to protect one person one vote. PNM became the leader on this campaign because of our experience building and maintaining broad and diverse coalitions, and just as importantly, our experience working on statewide ballot initiatives.
The value that PNM brings is our ability to be a one-stop-shop for any need that may arise for the Working Kansas Alliance. PNM has experience with communications, graphic design, videography and editing, social media management and strategy, digital advertising, radio and print advertising, cable and network television buys, and more. And we have the ability to put every piece of the puzzle together and create and maintain a powerful and influential alliance of labor unions and more.
